Storage station for natural gas,
Bordolano

The landscape project done on behalf of Policreo S.r.l. develops the landscape aspect of a new Storage plant for natural gas in Bordolano, a small village next to the beautiful Oglio river in the province of Cremona. The intervention of mitigation becomes an opportunity to revise the traditional concept of mitigation in a more contemporary way, assigning to the green buffer also the goal to become also a public place for the community of Bordolano.

Three option have been proposed, all deeply connected with elements of the territory, transform the landscape in a “place to live” where the natural elements merge with the playful, sportive and cultural sides of an open space. The first option, Gèa, takes inspiration from a mineral shapes of the rocks below the storage plant, Hudor (option chosen) inspired by the sinous lines of the Oglio river and Epokh'i from the geometry of the agricultural fields around the site.

In all three of them a main path runs along the site taking the user through a rich system of habitats: a journey through wooden areas, ponds, prairies and urban gardens.
